mindful practices for rooting and rising
“Kim’s teaching is innovative. She makes us laugh and guides us to more intelligent practice. She keeps yoga within reach and is a wonderful teacher.”
– Edie, Glenview
Just as a tree or a flower or an ear of corn can’t rise to its potential without being firmly rooted in the earth, nor can we humans rise to our potential without feeling grounded or rooted in ourselves.
We teach practices that help us to feel more anchored and rooted, so that we can feel more light and clarity and achieve the potential that is already within us. We ground down different parts of the body in yoga to feel more lift in other parts. Similarly, we can anchor to our breath to feel more levity in our mind. We can quiet the mind to feel light in spirit. It’s all about rooting and rising. To go with the flow. To be lightfooted. Rooted to the earth. Rising for the stars.
Practice at home
I’m happy to share some practices that help ground the nervous system, stretch the body, enliven the spirit, and hopefully make these next few weeks a bit more nourishing and even joyful. Onward and upward! Click here to explore the practices.
